I've always been a white gold/ sterling silver girl. For my wedding there was no question about what metal we'd use for our rings, and most all of my jewelery (including a gorgeous new watch from my sister for Christmas) is white gold or silver.

But just recently I've been into yellow gold. I am fairly certain it's a trend (like all things 90s right now) so I wouldn't buy anything expensive in gold or re-dip my wedding rings in it. And lets be honest, I don't actually wear or buy jewelry 99% of the time.

But for those occasions.... I'm loving the
gold collection by Lisa Leonard. I have some Christmas money to spend and I've decided to get the gold nugget studs with some it it. They're so unique and classy, yet a statement piece at the same time! I went to buy them today at the great price of $30 and found that shipping to Canada was the same price. Frown. Why are so many American companies always overcharging to ship to Canada? I send and receive things from the US often, and I'm certain shipping them wouldn't cost more than $10, at most. So I'm attempting to contact the company and see if there are other shipping options, and then my back up is to ship to my Grandma in Florida and get them when Oli and I visit her in March.

Don't you just love the necklaces, too? Ah! I want them all!
/// Are you more gold or silver?
I've always been silver but can't deny my current love for gold!
I don't think you can go wrong with ANY piece from Lisa Leonard! My husband surprised me a number of years back with a hand stamped necklace for Mother's Day. I wear it every. single. day. By far the best gift!
ReplyDeleteI use to be the same way. However, over the last year I've been making a lot of gold jewelry & really enjoying wearing & selling it. Never thought I would. I went to the Influence Conference in October, in one of the sessions the speaker gave out gifts bags full of amazing things. Including a stamped Lisa Leonard necklace. Happy Ladies in that session :)
ReplyDeletethose gift bags must have been amazing! I'd love to see some of the jewelry you've made Brit!
DeleteI've always loved gold. With my skin tone, "cold" colours don't suit me, and I think that goes for jewelery as well as clothing; I prefer warm colours that have orange, red or yellow undertones.
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty necklaces!
